Meet the Staff
Jean Hershey Fitch is a Nurse Practitioner Certified in Family Practice. We are excited to have her as part of the Spine Correction Center of the Rockies team.
She most recently worked in College Health with ages ranging from 17 to 80+. Throughout her career she has worked in a variety or areas from Mother and Child to Hospice. Jean chose a career path in nursing but never intended to be a hospital nurse for long.
After graduating from Goshen College in Indiana with a BS in nursing, she and a friend took off for England to work at Great Ormand Street Sick Children’s Hospital where they learned the British lingo.
Jean later spent four years in voluntary service in Vietnam, teaching nursing and doing village health work. While there, she adopted a one-month-old baby, Anna Lee, who is now married and has a teenager. Jean also has a son who is now attending law school. After returning to the US, she worked briefly in a hospital, taught nursing, and earned her masters in nursing at University of Colorado.
Jean and her husband, John, designed a sustainable home in the mountains, where they enjoy nature, hiking, and entertaining family and friends. Jean also enjoys photography, art, and travel, and spending time with her sister, children and the grandkids.
